Our client, Antibody Analytics is a young, innovative and dynamic contract research organisation with big ambitions. They are a company run by scientists and are recruiting its core team to grow the Translational Immunology business unit. The aim is to leverage proprietary technology and scientific expertise to produce beautiful assays to support development of new therapeutics and give drug makers access to the highest quality data.

 

The Role:

Antibody Analytics’ approach is to give scientists the freedom to use their knowledge and experience to make the best decisions for the business and our clients. We are looking for Senior Immunologist to join our immunology team to help drive key projects for our company and customers. The candidate must be independent, goal oriented, technically competent and able to efficiently work across multiple projects. We are searching for enthusiastic, innovative, and highly motivated individuals, with deep scientific background in immunology, cancer immunotherapy, and/or autoimmune diseases, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key tasks:

  • Provide scientific knowledge and expertise in immunology and cancer biology
  • Design, perform and analyse experiments
  • Drive discovery and development of new immunology focused translational assays
  • Study Management – overall responsibility for technical conduct of studies, data analysis and interpretation, documentation and reporting of results
  • Customer engagement to establish key relationships and understand long term requirements
  • Ensure the smooth running of a research laboratory and comply with all company policies and procedures

 

What we are looking for:

Scientific expert with demonstratable understanding of myeloid, T cell and tumour cell biology. Knowledge in macrophage or dendritic cell biology are highly desirable.
At least 2 years postdoctoral experience and/or 2 years working in the relevant life science sector
Experience in translational assays employing immune cells such as myeloid cell activation, macrophage and/or dendritic cell assays, T cell activation, immune cell mediated cell killing, co-culture of immune cell with tumour cells, TIL, TAM and TAL isolation and use
Hands-on experience using multi-colour flow cytometry (at least 8 colours) and data analysis using FlowJo software package
Cytokine/Chemokine bioassays (Luminex, ELISA)
Gene expression studies using qPCR or QuantiGene Plex
Evaluation and interpretation of data from biological assays
Excellent writing and presentation skills demonstrated by manuscripts and conference presentations
Excellent interpersonal skills
Study management
Leading client interactions and scoping new projects
Working within a regulated environment

 

Qualification:

PhD in Immunology
